How to import and edit MKV in Vegas Pro 18, 19?
Although Vegas Pro adds tons of feature enhancements and performance improvements to its new version (V19), there’re issues still when importing some raw video files to Vegas Pro. In this article, we focus on how to make Sony Vegas Pro read MKV files beautifully. You can of course play MKV videos using classic player with Community Codec Pack, but you can’t make it readable with Sony Vegas. That’s because MKV is a container file format that can hold an unlimited number of video, audio, picture, or subtitle tracks in one file and Vegas doesn’t accept it natively. If you want to directly open MKV in Vegas Pro, you will be frustrated for Vegas not supporting MKV format. In order to import MKV to Vegas Pro 18 smoothly, you’d need to convert MKV to Vegas Pro supported formats first.
